There are thousands of people who suffer from insomnia every night and some of them fight it needlessly. They fall asleep watching television on the couch or reading because
they feel as if they go to bed, they will be awake tossing and turning all night, however, if they would listen to their bodies, they might be able to get a good nights sleep.
When a person begins to fall asleep watching television, they should fight the urge to remain in on the couch or in the chair and sleep there for ‘just a little while longer' and get up and go directly to bed. Another trick to falling asleep quickly is to let your imagination take off. Pretend you have won the lottery or inherited a lot of money from some long lost aunt. Go wild and see how far your imagination will take you, as long as it takes you far from reality and your worries of the present.
