How to Cure Insomnia with Binaural Beats

Anyone who has ever had trouble sleeping understand how frustrating it can be. If this inabiity to seep continues for any length of time, all aspects of a person’s health, may begin to suffer, the physical, mental and emotional. People attempt to treat insomnia or sleeping difficuties in a variety of was. Some sufferers will take sleeping pills while others will self-medicate (i.e., drinking alcohol) One form of treatment that is hardly discussed and underutilized, is the use of sound, in particular, binaural beats.

Binaural beats can be used to entrain the brain to those frequencies that are known to help remedy sleep problems, the theta and delta frequencies. Both theta and delta frequencies are related to sleep, the former, REM sleep and the latter, deep sleep. REM sleep is when dreams occur. Individuals don’t dream during the deep sleep phase.

Theta and delta frequencies are lower than those a person experiences when they are awake. Taking a person to the aforementioned frequencies from their wakeful state, can sometimes help them fall asleep more easily.

Sound or the use of binaural beats is a fairly easy solution to a very serious problem, an ability to sleep. It is also a less risky approach than many commonly used forms of treatment. For instance, sleeping pills have the potential to become habit forming.

In order to use binaural beats, it is first necessary to secure a quality recording of them. They can be found online pretty easily. In order to fully benefit from their use, it is important to know when to listen to them, how often and when. We will fill in some of the blanks below.

It is best to listen to binaural beats right before going to bed, whether that’s at night or during the day when a person wants to take a nap. It is best time to listen to the recordings before sleeping because a person’s brain will begin to associate them with sleep.

Listening the recordings on a regular basis is very important. This is because it might take some time before the recordings really begin to take effect. The environment in which a person listens to binaural beats is also critical to their effectiveness. It is best to listen to them when there are no disturbances.

The binaural beats recordings a person listens to must be quality ones. They have to contain the correct frequencies, which happen to be a combination of both high and low ones. Most recordings will start at the higher frequencies and end at the lower ones. They will include theta, delta frequencies, in addition to others.
